Hypermetropia is a condition of the eye in which parallel rays come to focus behind the retina. Conversely, rays coming from a point on the retina will be divergent and will meet (theoretically) behind the eye. Consequently, the formation of a clear image is impossible unless the converging power of the optical system is increased either by the eye itself through accommodation or by artificial means by a convex lens. Finally, we should understand that the evaluation of any laser refractive procedure is through estimating its efficiency, safety, stability and patient satisfaction after the procedure. However, obtaining the best results possible is based on proper comprehensive selection of patients and proper preoperative evaluation through complete ocular examination
