Specific and sensitive early detection of IgG antibodyto 38 KDa antigen of mycobacterium tuberculosis in sera oftuberculous patients was proved to be cheaper thenpolymerase chain reaction for the detection ofmycobacterium tuberculosis infection in tuberculous patientsand more sensitive than zeihl-nelseen stain for the detectionof tubercle bacilli as a diagnostic test for tuberculosis.
