Abstract

Implantation is the process by which an embryo attaches to the uterine wall and penetrates first the epithelium then the circulatory system of the mother to form the placenta. Implantation is the most important limiting factor in human reproduction. In the setting of IVF, implantation efficiency is dependent on three factors: embryo quality, endometrial receptivity and embryo transfer skill.
