Abstract

Deltamethrin is a highly effective insecticide, so, it is widely used against a broad spectrum of insects in agriculture and home formulation. The main source of human exposure to deltamethrin is contaminated food and water as deltamethrin is readily absorbed by the oral route. This study is carried out to evaluate the possible alterations resulting from oral administration of deltamethrin on the kidney of adult albino rat and the possible protective role of vitamin "E" as an antioxidant for cellular protection against the oxidative damage induced by deltamethrin toxicity.
