The aim of this study is to prove the safety and efficacy of treatment of carotid stenosis by endovascular therapy (angioplasty and stenting). This study involved 30 patients, 24 males and 6 females, with average age 22.4+3.6 yrs. All these patients underwent endovascular therapy for treatment of carotid stenosis. The success rate was 63.2%. Two complications were encountered one case with unilatered permanent blindness due to distal embolization of the ophthalmic artery and the other case was weakness of the arm and tongue on the contralateral side of the treated carotid artery. One case 3.3% of diffuse instent sestenosis was encountered at six months. This case was treated with reangioplasty and stenting
