TTV is a newly discovered Human Virus. Despite the close correlation between blood level of TTV DNA & liver enzymes in transfusion transmitted hepatitis patients, there is no significant correlation between TTV infection and hepatitis infection up till now. This study included 200 healthy volunteer Egyptian blood donors. It was found that 16 cases out of 200 were positive for TTV DNA by Seminested PCR i.e. 8%
