Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is achronic disease associated with increased morbidity mainly due to the chronic microbascular complications retinopathy neuropathy and nephropathy. The changes in sex steroids during puberty have been incriminated in the defelopment and progression of diabetic complicabions as these complications seldom appear before puberty. Most studies aimed to monitor these shanges among patients with type 1 diabetes. Our study aimed to estimate the levels of serum free testosterone in diabetic males with type 2 diabetes complicated by retinopathy, neuropathy and / or nephropathy in comparison with diabetic and non-diabetic males with no such complications
