Abstract
Four postmortum foetal specimens (uterovaginal canal) and 30 adult human cervices with the adjoining corporal part were used in this study. The foetal group showed that the arrangement of the musculature was vertically at birth. In the adult groups (nulliparous, multiparous and postmenopausal women) the musculature were above the isthmus 4 layers, at the isthmus 3 layers and at midcervical region and external os no definite pattern.
