Abstract

This study includes 103 patients with different hepatic space occupying lesions at high risk of developing HCC. Thirty seven patients had AFP level between 10.9 400 ng/dl, and 33 patients had levels more than 400 ng/dl. Ultrasonography suggested the diagnosis of HCC in 44 patients, Metastatic liver disease in 7 patients and regenerating nodule in 11 patients. Histopathologicaly the diagnosis of HCC was established in 50 %, regenerating nodule in 28.6 % and metastasis was detected in 17 %.
