Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine thevalue of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and the dynamic contrastenhanced MR imaging (DCE-MRI) when added to conventional MRI indifferentiation between maxillofacial lesions. Subjects and Methods:Twenty-five patients were enrolled in this study, where DWI, DCE,contrast-enhanced, T1 and T2 MR imaging were performed. Results: Thehighest contributing factors were Contrast enhanced MRI [Homogeneity],DCE-MRI [Homogeneity] followed by the ADC value. Conclusion: Theintegration of DWI and DCE-MRI yielded valuable qualitative andquantitative results in differentiation between lesions.
