Our review of literature showed the importance of oral health to the individual’s general health and well-being. We could also see evidence of the importance and impact of oral health education in the lives of people especially when they are exposed to this education in their childhood and young years. As clear as the importance of oral health education was, we found a lack of consensus on the best oral health education program. One of the possible reasons for this lack of consensus is the lack of agreement on a method to quantify the effect of oral health education programs. We found a growing amount of evidence on the use of KAP surveys as a method to quantify information in a specific population. Studying Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) tells us what people know about certain things, how they feel and also how they behave. The Knowledge possessed by a community refers to their understanding of any given topic. Attitude refers to their feelings towards this subject, as well as any preconceived ideas that they may have towards it. Practice refers to the ways in which they demonstrate their knowledge and attitude through their actions (Kaliyaperumal, 2004).This study was conducted to assess and compare the efficiency of two different oral health education programs in modifying oral health Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) of primary exemplary school children aged from seven to nine years old. It also aimed at recording their Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) of oral hygiene methods before the educational interventions using the KAP questionnaire. This randomized parallel arm clinical trial (comparative effectiveness trial), was conducted in “El Madina El Game’eya Exemplary School”. All subjects were aged 7-9 years old, and fulfilled the predetermined inclusion criteria of this study. The study started with 200 and 201 subjects in the first and second group and in its final stage, the number of subjects decreased to 129 and 142 respectively, because of their absence on regular school days when the study was taking place
