This study was carried out to investigate the effect of caries on the growth of Egyptian children. Subjects and Methods: 200 children were selected in this study, 100 with dmf score >2 and 100 with dmf ≤2. Their anthropometric measurements were taken and their blood tests checked for anemia. Results: there was significant negative correlation between dental caries and red blood cells indicies. And there was a significant positive correlation between dental caries and head circumference. On the other hand, there was no significant correlation between dental caries and the weight, height and body mass index. Conclusion: Dental caries can be considered as a risk factor for iron deficiency anemia.
