The purpose of this study: was to evaluate the wear behavior of various dental ceramics materials (Feldspathic ceramic, Zirconia ceramic, Lithiumdisilicate ceramic) against the natural tooth structure. Materials and Methods : Thirty ceramics samples were constructed and glazed, Samples were divided into 3 groups(n=10). Thirty recently extracted premolars were collected. Each sample was tested using wear machine at 24,000 cycles and artifial saliva applied during the testing process. Ceramic samples and tooth samples were measured and weighted before and after the wear test using the digital micrometer for measurement the height loss and a sensitive electronic balance for measurement the weight loss . Also the surface roughness for all samples was measured before and after wear test by digital microscope at magnification 110x. Results: Teeth opposing Feldspathic material showed the statistically significantly highest mean amount of wear and teeth opposing Lithium Disilicate showed significantly lower mean amount of wear. While, teeth opposing Zirconia showed the statistically significantly lowest mean amount of wear. Conclusions: Less wear of antagonist teeth was detected with zirconia CAD-CAM system than with lithium disilicatepressable system and feldspathic powder /liquid system.
