Abstract

The current study investigated the effect of different finishing techniques on the color stability and surface roughness of IPS e.max press ceramic constructed with two different construction techniques. Forty IPS e.max press disc shaped samples were fabricated with standardized dimensions of 1cm diameter and 2mm thickness using specially constructed molds following the manufacturer’s instructions. Samples were divided according to fabrication techniques into 2 groups of 20 samples each: •Group A: staining technique. •Group B: layering technique. Each group was further subdivided into 2 subgroups of 10 samples each, according to finishing techniques into: •Subgroup 1: samples were subjected to glazing. •Subgroup 2: samples were subjected to polishing.
