Purpose: of this study is to compare the muscles activities of masseter muscles and patient satisfaction by visual analogue scale for two groups of patients : a)Implant supported over dentures with metal housingb)Implant supported over dentures with rubber silicon housing Materials and methods: twenty completely edentulous patients with age ranges from 50 to 60 years were selected from the outpatient clinic of the Prosthodontics Department, Faculty of Oral and Dental medicine, Cairo University according to certain criteria. For all patients, implant supported over dentures were constructed as usual then divided into two equal groups. First group was patients with ball attached two implants supported over dentures with metal housing , while the second group was patients with ball attached two implants supported over denures with silicone housing. Patients was recalled after one week , one month and two months for measuring the masseter muscles activities by computerized electromyography and to evaluate the patient satisfaction by seven points visual analogue scale . Results: Statistical analysis of masseter muscles activities in two groups separately and a comparison between the two groups together was done. The results obtained from this study revealed that, at one week one month and two months revealed a no statistical significance between Group-one and Group-two even right or left masseter muscles. According to (VAS) at one week and one month , it was revealed no statistical significance between mean values when comparing group-one and group-two in all parameters except Stability parameter where there was statistical significance between mean values in group-one and group-two in Stability parameter(at one weak) And Overall Satisfaction and Comfort parameters ( at one month) .At two months, it was revealed a statistical significance between mean values when comparing group-one and group-two in all parameters except Esthetics parameter.
