Abstract

Placenta accreta is a disorder characterized by abnormal placental penetration into the uterine wall. It is currently one of the main causes of maternal morbidity and mortality. Ultrasound and Doppler are two first-line methods for the diagnosis of placenta accreta, both have a high degree of diagnostic sensitivity, and they help to allow for proper antenatal diagnosis for appropriate counseling and surgical planning to be carried out.
