Abstract

A quasi-experimental study was conducted in two primary health care centers; experimental group (El-Zahra unit) and control group (Abou El Saoud). A multidisciplinary teamwork training program was implemented in El-Zahra unit to enhance teamwork climate and improve performance and patient safety. Multiple measurements of outcomes were used; measurement of knowledge, measurement of team climate perception and measurement of performance. The knowledge increased significantly and there were 18% and 5% improvement in the performance and excellence indicators, respectively. The overall score of team climate was above average.
