Abstract

This study was designed to investigate the influence of different finishing and polishing techniques on surface roughness and color stability of nanofilled resin composite restorative material.Subjects and Methods : Nanofilled resin composite restorative material (Filtek Z350XT ). A split Teflon mould was specially fabricated with internal diameter of 5-mm and 3-mm height (Berger et al, 2011) supported with external copper ring that keeps the mould assembled together to obtain disc-like specimens. A total number of sixty specimens of nanofilled composite resin discs with 5-mm diameter and 3-mm height were prepared using the Teflon mould. The resin composite material was applied inside the mould cavity Figure (3) and lightly packed using plane condenser. Results: Statistical analysis of the surface roughness and color change of a nano- filled resin composite restorative material using different finishing and polishing techniques were represented
