Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health related states and events in specified population and application of this study to the control of health problems. This work was control of health problems. This work was conducted in order to study the diseases frequency distribution and it’s relation to available diseases determinants as age, sex, residence, social score, duration of hospital stay and their outcome criteria as well as qualitative and quantitative solution of inpatient clinic performance and for the appraisal of available inpatient records. A cross sectional descriptive hospital study was conducted to patients presenting to the inpatient clinic ABO EL REESH University hospital along for months starting from 1-3-2000 to 1-7-2000, respectively. It was found that the cardiac system, respiratory system and the combined system were the commonest health problems detected among all attendants to the inpatient clinic at ABO EL REESH University hospital constituting 29% and 9.3, respectively.
