Abstract

This study was carried out with the aim of finding the relation between attitude and behavior of wives and their addict husbands and sources of conflict between them. The study done on 30addict, their spouse and 30 normal couples, a comparison was done between both groups. The study revealed that the couples of abusing husbands have higher score of dissatisfaction, aggression behaviors in their marital relation in comparison to normal couple. They have multiplicity of conflict between them. The important causes of conflict between them was finance troubles, lack of communication, sexual dissatisfaction, conflict over child rearing and stick to the traditional role. The spouses of addicts have affect disorders (depression, anxiety) more than spouses of normal couple. The study recommends increasing the educational of addict couple about the nature of addiction disease and the behaviors which aggravate the problem.
