Digital compuetrs.

For many scientists, engineers, and researchers in the U.A.R., the high-speed digital computer is an unknown entity. Until 1960, when the computer system was installed at the National Institute for Research, the chances of getting an introduction to computing were slim. Today, virtually all researchers in this country have access to digital computers, thanks to the training courses held at the institute. In the coming few years, it will be an exception for individuals, including university undergraduates at Alexandria University, to lack an introductory course in computer use.

بالنسبة للعديد من العلماء والمهندسين والباحثين في الجمهورية العربية المتحدة، فإن الحاسوب الرقمي عالي السرعة يعد كيانًا غير معروف. حتى عام 1960، عندما تم تثبيت نظام الحاسوب في المعهد القومي للبحوث، كانت الفرص للحصول على مقدمة في الحوسبة ضئيلة. اليوم، يمكن للباحثين في هذا البلد الوصول إلى الحواسيب الرقمية بفضل الدورات التدريبية التي تُعقد في المعهد. خلال السنوات القليلة المقبلة، سيكون من الاستثناءات أن يكون هناك من لم يحصل على دورة تمهيدية في استخدام الحواسيب، بما في ذلك طلاب الجامعات في جامعة الإسكندرية.
