تستخدم الياف القطن فى انتاج كثير من المنتجات ذات الاستعمالات المتعدده مثل الملابس الداخليه والخارجية والاغطيه والمفروشات وفى صناعة اطارات السيارات وشباك الصيد وغيرها من المنتجات التي تدخل في كثير من الصناعات . لقد ظل استخدامة قاصرا لفترات طويلة على صناعة المنسوجـــــــات لاعراض الكساء والاغطية . ولم يتعدد استخدامه فى كل هذه الصناعات الا على فترات متباعده تطول او تقصر مع كل اكتشاف علمى لاستخدام جديد للالياف القطنيه .

Cotton fibers are used in the production of many products with multiple uses such as indoor and outdoor clothing, covers and furnishings, and in the manufacture of car tires, fishing nets and other products that go into many industries. Its use has been limited for long periods of time to the textile industry for the purposes of clothing and covers. Its use in all these industries has not multiplied except at intervals that are longer or shorter with each scientific discovery of a new use of cotton fibers.
