This study explores the relationship between sociology and national development. It defines development and examines the various sociological concepts involved, such as efficacy, social engineering, and the role of sociology in nation-building. The study also highlights the internal and external social and economic implications for nation-building, the institutionalization of change, and innovative behavior as key components of the development process.

تستكشف هذه الدراسة العلاقة بين علم الاجتماع والتنمية الوطنية. وهي تعرّف التنمية وتبحث في مختلف المفاهيم السوسيولوجية المعنية، مثل الفعالية والهندسة الاجتماعية ودور علم الاجتماع في بناء الأمة. كما تسلط الدراسة الضوء على الآثار الاجتماعية والاقتصادية الداخلية والخارجية المترتبة على بناء الأمة، وإضفاء الطابع المؤسسي على التغيير، والسلوك الابتكاري كمكونات رئيسية لعملية التنمية.
