يتوقف انتشار وتقدم الصناعة إلى حد كبير توفر كميات كبيرة ومنتظمة فى المواد الخام اللازمة لها.ويتصف انتاج اللبن - كمادة خام – بخصائص تميزه من غيره من الخامات عن غيره من الخامات المعدنية والخامات الزراعية الأخرى. فإنتاج اللبن الخام الغير مركز فى مناطق محددة بل ينتشر انتاجه بكميات صغيرة على مساحات كبيرة من الأرض تكاد تشمل الريف المصرى بأسره مما يجعل امكانية استغلاله صناعيا بطريقة اقتصادية أمرا بالغ الصعوبة

The spread and progress of industry depends to a large extent on the availability of large and regular quantities of the raw materials needed for it. Milk production - as a raw material - is characterized by characteristics that distinguish it from other raw materials from other mineral ores and other agricultural ores. The production of raw milk is not concentrated in specific areas, but rather its production is spread in small quantities over large areas of land covering almost the entire Egyptian countryside, which makes the possibility of exploiting it industrially in an economic manner very difficult.
