So far, in the phases of development of human society, education played mostly a human -cultural function and so it has for long been considered in the exclusive domain pedagogists. Apart from pedagogical science the other scientific disciplines rarely paid any attention to the development of learning and its methods.

حتى الآن، في مراحل تطور المجتمع الإنساني، لعبت التربية في الغالب وظيفة إنسانية ثقافية في الغالب، ولذا فقد اعتبرت لفترة طويلة في المجال الحصري لعلماء التربية. وبصرف النظر عن علم التربية، فإن التخصصات العلمية الأخرى نادراً ما أولت التخصصات العلمية الأخرى أي اهتمام بتطوير التعليم وأساليبه.
