تناقش الدراسة مفهوم الإنتاج، الذي يُعرف بأنه نتيجة استغلال الطاقة البشرية في أعمال متعددة، سواء كانت لإنتاج سلع كاملة أو أجزاء منها. كما تتناول الكفاية الإنتاجية، التي تقاس بكمية الإنتاج مقابل ساعات العمل، وجودة الإنتاج التي تعبر عن مدى مطابقة المنتجات للمواصفات. يُعرف معدل الإنتاج بأنه كمية ما ينتجه الفرد في فترة زمنية معينة، مما يساعد في قياس الكفاية الإنتاجية وتقدير الوقت اللازم لعمليات جديدة. تحدد الدراسة أيضًا وسائل رفع الكفاية الإنتاجية، مثل تحسين جودة المنتجات وتصميمها لتقليل الحاجة إلى قوة عاملة أو مهارات معينة.
