يستهدف هذا البحث دراسة العوامل التي تؤدي إلى زيادة المتاح من المنتجات الحيوانية، للتخفيف من حجم الفجوة الغذائية والتي يعاني منها هذا القطاع نتيجة عدم ملائمة الكميات المعروضة لناظرتها المطلوبة، وما يتبع ذلك من إرتفاع السعر الذي يتحمله المستهلك وبما لا يتناسب مع إرتفاع دخلة الحقيقى، الي جانب زيادة الواردات البديل الأخر لتقليل الفجوة وما يترتب عليه من عبء علي ميزان لمدفوعات

This research aims to investigate the factors leading to augmentation of animal production, so as to bridge the gap between supply and demand without relying heavily on imports. Insufficient production is naturally reflected in price increase and/or the dependence on imports. The poultry sector has severely been infected by bird flu disease in 2006 and, to a less extent, in 2007. The demand supply gap has worsened for both poultry and other animal protein alternatives. The study has addressed the problem of declining feeding stuff; especially the concentrated types. Feeding stuffs acquire great importance as representing about 70% of the total costs of meat production. The study has also addressed other problems facing animal production development, especially marketing and related factors. Obstacles of fish and dairy production development have also been dealt with.
