In the last decade, nano-inclusions attracted the interest of wide range of research studies toexamine the effects of their thermal, electrical and mechanical characteristics to be used ascement additives. The nano-reinforced cementitious composites have new better chemical,physical and mechanical properties, which make them multifunctional composites. This studypresents a review on the different types and properties of nano-inclusions, the effect of thesenano additives on the performance of the cement-based composites in terms of durability,workability and mechanical properties. The new nano-mutated cement based composites canbecame substitute for ordinary cementitious composite in construction or in all strengtheningand repairing applications. More future research studies investigating the performance of nano-included concrete members under different types of loadings and at the same time consideringthe cost-benefit ratio effect are still required
