The housing and traffic problems all over the world require the optimum usage of land. This may be partially achieved by constructing tall buildings with one or multistory basements. One major problem that may be encountered during the construction of such kind of structures is the need for deep excavations. The objective of the present study is to analyze one of the of excavation support systems which is called concrete cantilever piles wall (CPW). The computer program GEOSTUDIOSIGMA is used to simulate two dimensional (2D) models for cantilever pile wall (CPW) in the soil. The study of CPW in the soil focuses on the clayey and sandy soils. Two dimensional models were built taking into account the material nonlinearity. In all models, Elastic-plastic Model is adopted. The 2D study analysis takes into account the different CPW depths to support the excavation height and also consider the CPW diameter effect as well. The soil model takes the different types of the clayey soil such as soft, medium and stiff clay. Also, the loose, medium and dense sand soil are modeled. Through the study, the comparison between behavior of CPW in clayey and sandy soil were performed. Also, multilayer soil profile is taken into account to study the behavior of CPW in multilayer soil from the clay and the sand.
