Abstract

Secondary micro plastics are considered as the most dangerous issue that threat the environment because micro plastics contains LDPE(low density polyethylene) which needs a long period of time for its biodegradation and secretes toxic chemicals like PET&PETE besides it secretes pollutants(poly cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) as the (fluoranthene) which is absorbed by the microplastic LDPE .these pollutants lead to environmental problems moreover probable carcinogen in humans and also they may cause diseases such as lung, skin and liver cancer to animals. In order to eradicate massive disaster, this study focuses on accelerating the biodegradation of LDPE (low density polyethylene) and the fluoranthene together by enzymes which break down the hydrocarbons in both LDPE and fluoranthene in a filter that contains genetically modified fungus called pleurotus osteratus .The input of the filter will be the LDPE plastic as bottles , bags beside the modified pleurotus fungus. The byproduct will be ethyl acetate which gives ethanol in case of adding water that is used effectively in fuel, gasoline gas in addition to manufacturing and various products. Also, it gives acetic acid which is used in food industrials as vinegar and other initials industrial process.
