This research presents an experimental investigation which studied the structural behavior of the box ferrocement shear walls under vertical loads. The experimental program comprised casting and testing of ten five box shear walls of total dimensions of 150x800x1500mm. The parameters of type of steel reinforcement; welded and expanded wire meshes and presence ribs were investigated on the structural responses failure in terms of; ultimate load, mode of failure, first crack load, service load and ductility ratio. Also, all the tested walls were simulated using ANSYS program and gave good results comparing with the experimental results. The results showed that the structural performance of the ferrocement box shear wall with webs (ribs) is better than those walls without ribs and the ferrocement walls reinforced with double layers of welded wire meshes has better structural behavior than those walls reinforced with expanded wire meshes.
