يهدف هذا البحث إلى بيان مفهوم ومعايير الحكم بالقبح على اللغات والأحكام والاستعمالات النحوية من وجهة نظر كبار النحاة، وقد اعتمدت الباحثة المنهج الاستقرائي والتحليلي، وخرج البحث بعدد من النتائج، ومنها: أن القبيح هو كلُّ استعمالٍ مخالفٍ لما عُرِف عن العرب في كلامهم، وأن مفهوم القبح عند المحدثين من النحاة كان أكثر وضوحا، وكان عند المتقدمين أكثر تطبيقاً، وأن غاية الحكم بالقبح هي صيانة اللغة وحمايتها من كل دخيل وشاذ، وقد تمثلت معايير الحكم على اللغات والأحكام والاستعمالات في ثلاثة معايير رئيسة هي: محالفتها للسماع الكثير، ومخالفتها لأحد المعايير الأخرى للسماع المقبول، كالقراءات، والشواهد الشعرية والنثرية، ومخالفتها للقياس المطرد. This research aims to clarify the concept and criteria for judging languages, rules and grammatical usages as ugly from the point of view of senior grammarians. The researcher adopted the inductive and analytical approach, and the research came out with a number of results, including: that ugly is every usage that contradicts what is known about the Arabs in their speech, and that the concept of ugliness among modern grammarians was clearer, and was more applicable among the ancients, and that the purpose of judging ugliness is to preserve the language and protect it from every intruder and anomaly. The criteria for judging languages, rules and usages were represented in three main criteria: their conformity to a lot of listening, their contravention of one of the other criteria for acceptable listening, such as readings, poetic and prose evidence, and their contravention of consistent analogy.
