تتناول هذه الدراسة جانبًا مهمًا من أدب الطفل في اليمن، يتمثل في استلهام الأغاني الشعبية في كتابة الشعر الموجَّه للأطفال، حيث يُعدّ التراث الشعبي مصدرًا ثريًا ومتنوعًا يمكن توظيفه إبداعيًا لتحقيق الأهداف التربوية والجمالية والثقافية لهذا الأدب. تستعرض الدراسة كيف أن الأغاني الموروثة شفهيًا، مثل أغاني اللعب والمواسم والفوازير والمتتاليات العددية، تلعب دورًا أساسيًا في تكوين وجدان الطفل، وتنمية حسه الموسيقي، ومهاراته اللغوية والاجتماعية، كما توضح أن هذه الأغاني تتصف بمرونة الأداء، وإمكانية التعديل من جيل إلى آخر، مما يمنحها قابلية للتطوير والإبداع. وتعرض الدراسة نماذج متعددة لتوظيف هذا الموروث في قصائد وأناشيد حديثة تواكب احتياجات الطفل المعاصر، وتربطه بجذوره الثقافية والدينية، حيث يعيد الشاعر بناء الأغاني التقليدية بأسلوب فني معاصر، ويُضمّنها قيمًا ومعاني تعليمية، كما هو الحال في استخدام أنماط التعداد، والفوازير، والأناشيد الدينية والوطنية، في قالب شعري يناسب الأطفال لغويًا وإيقاعيًا. وتبرز الدراسة أهمية هذا التوظيف في تعزيز الهوية الثقافية للطفل، وإحياء التراث الشعبي في صورة جمالية محببة، مع الدعوة إلى مزيد من البحث والاستثمار في هذا المجال لخدمة أدب الطفل في اليمن والوطن العربي عمومًا.       This study explores a significant dimension of children's literature in Yemen: the creative adaptation of folk songs in writing poetry for children. It argues that popular heritage represents a rich and diverse source that can be artistically employed to fulfill the educational, aesthetic, and cultural goals of children's literature. The study highlights how orally transmitted traditional songs—such as play songs, seasonal chants, riddles, and counting rhymes—play a fundamental role in shaping a child's emotional world, enhancing their musical sensitivity, and developing their linguistic and social skills. These songs are characterized by performance flexibility and the ability to be modified across generations, giving them great potential for creative renewal. The study presents multiple examples of how this heritage is incorporated into modern poems and songs that respond to the needs of today's children while maintaining ties to their cultural and religious roots. In these texts, poets reimagine traditional songs using a contemporary artistic style and embed them with educational values and meanings—such as the use of enumeration patterns, riddles, religious chants, and patriotic anthems—within poetic forms that are rhythmically and linguistically suited to children. This creative use of folk heritage is shown to play an important role in reinforcing the cultural identity of children and reviving traditional heritage in a visually and aurally appealing form. The study concludes with a call for more research and investment in this area to enrich children's literature in Yemen and the Arab world more broadly.
