يتطلع الباحث إلى بيان الدلالات العقدية في حديث عمر رضى الله عنه مرفوعاً:" لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ تَوَكَّلُوْنَ عَلَى اللهِ حَقَّ تَوَكُّلِهِ لَرَزَقَكُمْ كَمَا يَرْزُقُ الطَّيْرَ، تَغْدُو خِمَاصَاً وَتَرُوْحُ بِطَانَاً "، في مسائل عديدة، منها: بيان المعنى الصحيح لحق التوكل، والمراد بالرزق في الحديث، ووجه تخصيص التوكل الممدوح بفعل الطير، وعلاقة الغدو والرواح من الطير بحقيقة التوكل، وفهم أهل السنة والجماعة للحديث وفهم المخالفين لهم.  وأوضح البحث كذلك علاقة التوكل بالتوحيد والإيمان وبين فضائله وعظيم ثوابه ونوائله وارتباطه بجميع ضروب التوحيد والإيمان، وأوضح كذلك أن التوكل أصله قلبيٌّ علماً وعملاً، فمن جهة علم القلب فإنه يعود لكمال يقين العبد بكفاية الله U له، وأنَّه سبحانه يقوم له بشأنه خيراً من تصرُّفه لنفسه، وأما من جهة عمل القلب، فلذة طمأنينة قلب العبد وتسليمه لربه I بما قد فوّضه فيه، ورضاه بذلك.  فالحديث موضوع البحث من جوامع الكلم العظيمة وهو عمدة في بابه، عني به الأئمة بإفراده بالتصنيف، وبيان غزير المعاني المضمنة في ألفاظه، وعظم فضل تحقيق عبادة التوكل التي حضَّ عليها النبي e، وعلو مقامها، فهي أحد الأصول القلبية العظيمة، ومراتب الإيمان العليَّة.   The researcher aims to elucidate the theological implications of the hadith narrated by Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you truly relied upon Allah as He should be relied upon, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds: they go out in the morning hungry and return full." The study explores several key aspects, including the correct understanding of true reliance (tawakkul), the intended meaning of sustenance (rizq) in the hadith, the wisdom behind specifying birds as an example of commendable reliance, the connection between the birds' departure in the morning and return in the evening with the essence of tawakkul, and the interpretation of the hadith by Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama‘ah in contrast to opposing views. The study further examines the relationship between tawakkul, monotheism (tawhid), and faith (iman), highlighting its virtues, immense rewards, and its connection to all aspects of tawhid and iman. It also emphasizes that tawakkul is fundamentally an internal matter of the heart, both in knowledge and action. In terms of the heart's knowledge, it stems from a believer's complete certainty in Allah's sufficiency and the conviction that He manages the servant's affairs better than the servant himself. In terms of the heart's action, it manifests as the serenity and contentment of the believer's heart in entrusting matters to Allah and accepting His decree. The hadith under discussion is among the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) comprehensive statements and serves as a foundational principle in its domain. Scholars have dedicated independent works to explaining its profound meanings, reflecting on the immense merit of fulfilling the act of tawakkul, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) strongly encouraged. Tawakkul holds a lofty status as one of the fundamental spiritual acts of the heart and among the highest ranks of faith.
