ملخص البحث

تتمثل أهمية البحث في القاء الضوء على وسائل الإضاءة خلال العصر الإسلامي بصعيد مصر التي تنوعت ما بين المسارج والمصابيح والشمعدانات، وكذلك بإلقاء الضوء على أشكال وأنواع وحدات الإضاءة في هذه الحضارة العريقة.

وترتبط دراسة وحدات الإضاءة ارتباطا وثيقا بمجال الفنون التطبيقية وخاصة التي انشرت في صعيد مصر حيث يمكن معرفة أشكال وحدات الإضاءة وتطور خامات صناعتها وأساليب الصناعة يزيد من ثقافة الفنان وإدراكه وتكوين ذاكرة بصرية أصيلة تفيده في تشكيل معاصر لوحدات إضاءة متطورة.
