من خلال حث الإسلام على السلام والتسامح بين جميع أفراد المجتمع كان هذا البحث الذي تناولت فيه أهم الأسس الإسلامية التي يحثنا عليها الدين الإسلامي الحنيف مراعيا في ذلك أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية التي أمرت المسلم بالإحسان إلى أخيه المسلم أيا كان مذهبه في الفقه أو العقيدة، فالسلام سبب التآلف والتحاب ومفتاح استجلاب المودة، ففي إفشائه تكمن ألفة الإنسانية بعضهم لبعض، وإظهار ذلك في الإسلام يميزهم عن غيرهم من أهل الأديان الأخرى.  وقد أوضح البحث أن السلام من أسماء الله تعالى، فهو الذي تسلَم ذاته عن العيب وصفاته عن النقص وأفعاله عن الشر، وأوضح أيضا أن الإسلام هو الدخول في السلم، وهو أن يسلم كل واحد منهما من أن يناله من ألم صاحبه. وكذلك التسامح الديني فهو أعظم ثمرة من ثمراتِ التَّعايش السلميِّ والتآخي الإنساني، والسماحة هي سهولة المعاملةِ فيما اعتادَ الناس فيه الشِّدة، فهي وسط بين الشِّدة والتَّساهل؛ أي: بين الإفراط والتفريط، وهو ينبثق من التعاليم الواردة في القرآن والسنة: "التي تحثُّ المسلمين على اعتمادِ السماحةِ في معاملةِ بعضِهم بعضًا، أو معاملة مَن يخالفونهم في الدين. فالمجتمع الإسلاميُّ يتمتَّع برُوحِ السماحةِ وتقبُّل الآخر والتعايش معه، واللُّطف في المعاملة، ورعاية الجوار، وسعة المشاعر الإنسانيَّة من البِرِّ والرحمةِ والإحسان، ويتمتَّع أيضًا بمكارمِ الأخلاقِ، فلا يضيق صدرُه من آراء المخالفين وأفكارهم.     Abstract: This study explores the key Islamic foundations of peace and tolerance, emphasizing the principles encouraged by Islam while adhering to the rulings of Islamic law, which commands Muslims to be kind to one another regardless of their jurisprudential or theological differences. Peace fosters harmony, love, and goodwill, and its spread strengthens human bonds. In Islam, the practice of peace distinguishes Muslims from adherents of other religions. The research highlights that "As-Salam" (Peace) is one of the names of Allah, signifying that His essence is free from defects, His attributes are flawless, and His actions are free from evil. It also explains that Islam itself means entering into peace, ensuring that individuals do not cause harm to one another. Religious tolerance is one of the greatest fruits of peaceful coexistence and human fraternity. Tolerance represents ease in interactions where people commonly expect difficulty; it is a balance between harshness and excessive leniency, avoiding both extremism and negligence. This concept is rooted in the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, which urge Muslims to practice tolerance in their dealings with fellow Muslims and with those of other faiths. Islamic society is characterized by a spirit of tolerance, acceptance of others, coexistence, kindness in dealings, care for neighbors, and broad humanitarian values such as righteousness, mercy, and benevolence. It is also distinguished by noble morals, allowing for open-mindedness toward differing opinions and perspectives.
