يدرس هذا البحث الوصل والهجر لدى ابن حزم الأندلسي في كتابه (طوق الحمامة في الألفة والألاف) باعتباره واحدا من أهم كتب التراث الأندلسي التي عُنيت بالعلاقة بين المتحابين، وتهدف الدراسة لتأمل جماليات أنماط الوصل والهجر لديه، وبيان التوازن بين الجانب النظري والتطبيقي، الشعر والنثر، الفكر والشعور، وتعمد الدراسة لتأمل الأحوال النفسية للمتحابين من منظور ابن حزم وبيان أثر ذلك على العلاقة بين العاشقين في ثنائيتي الوصل والهجر والإقبال والإدبار اللحضور والغياب، كما يهتم البحث بدراسة لغة الأديب وأسلوبه وتأمل طرائق التعبير الأدبي لديه الأمر الذي جعل كتابه بمثابة تحفة أدبية عالمية تتوارثها الأجيال. فابن حزم ذلك المحدث المتكلم الفقيه الشاعر الفيلسوف يطرح رؤيته الفكرية بحس أدبي بارع، تفرد البحث في انتقاء نقطة تماس بين الوصل والهجر مكمنها أحوال المتحابين التي نظم  أحوالهم شعرا ونثرا. وقد انتقيت المنهج الفني في هذه الدراسة باعتباره الأوفق في استبطان جماليات النصوص وبيان عناصر الانسجام بين كافة عناصرها لغة وأسلوبا وصورة  وفكرا وشعورا.
This research examines union and abandonment in the work of Ibn Hazm al-Andalusi in his book (The Ring of the Dove: Intimacy and Love), considered one of the most important books in the Andalusian heritage that dealt with the relationship between lovers. The study aims to reflect on the aesthetics of his patterns of union and abandonment and to demonstrate the balance between theoretical and practical aspects, poetry and prose, and thought and feeling. The study intends to examine the psychological states of lovers from Ibn Hazm's perspective and to demonstrate the impact of this on the relationship between lovers in the dualities of union and abandonment, acceptance and rejection, and presence and absence. The research also focuses on studying the author's language and style and contemplating his methods of literary expression, which have made his book a global literary masterpiece passed down through generations.
Ibn Hazm, the modern theologian, jurist, poet, and philosopher, presents his intellectual vision with a brilliant literary flair. The research is unique in its selection of a point of contact between union and abandonment, which lies within the conditions of lovers, whose circumstances he articulated in both poetry and prose. I chose the artistic approach in this study as it is the most appropriate for exploring the aesthetics of the texts and demonstrating the elements of harmony between all their elements: language, style, imagery, thought, and emotion.
