تناولت هذه الدّراسة بالبحث موضوع المحددات الديموغرافية لكلِّ من السّلوك الإنجابيّ والخصوبة لدى المرأة في المجتمع المصريّ، وهي دراسة ميدانية أُجريت بالاعتماد على منهج المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة استهدفت الدّراسة التّعرف على دور بعض المحددات الديموغرافية في تشكيل السّلوك الإنجابيّ والخصوبة لدى المرأة في المجتمع المصري، شملت هذه المحددات كلًّا من المستوى التعليمي، والعمر عند الزواج، ومستوى الدّخل، ومنطقة السّكن، والموقف من العمل. تم تطبيق الدّراسة الميدانية على عينة (عرضية) من منطقتين: إحدهما تمثّل الحضر وهي مدينة المنصورة، والثّانية تمثّل الرّيف وهي إحدى القرى التّابعة لمدينة المنصورة، وبلغ حجم العيّنة (1059) مفردة من النّساء المتزوجات اللّاتي لديهنّ أبناء على قيد الحياة.

This study addresses the demographic determinants of reproductive behaviour and fertility among women in Egyptian society. It is a field study conducted using the social survey method of a sample. The study aimed to identify the role of some demographic determinants in shaping reproductive behaviour and fertility among women in Egyptian society. These determinants include educational level, age at marriage, income level, area of residence, and attitude towards work. The field study was conducted on a (convenience) sample from two areas: one representing the urban area, which is the city of Mansoura, and the other representing the rural area, which is a village affiliated with the city of Mansoura. The sample size was (1059) married women with living children.
