Abstract

The study also highlighted the importance of not just focusing on speaking skills themselves, but also on the content and methodology used to teach them. Instructors often prioritize academically gifted students, neglecting whole-class instruction or fostering collaborative learning. Emotional factors, such as student attitudes towards the learning environment, can also impact speaking proficiency.

Based on these findings, the research recommends implementing student-centered teaching strategies that foster a positive emotional climate in the classroom. This could involve incorporating activities that promote collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, as well as providing opportunities for students to express themselves freely. Additionally, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and respected can contribute to their motivation and overall language proficiency development.

By combining quantitative test analysis and qualitative survey analysis, this research contributes to understanding e-learning platforms' potential to boost speaking skills and student engagement in language learning. However, it also acknowledges the need for improvements in online learning design and a focus on effective speaking instruction that considers both content and methodology.
