تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على مستوى وصعوبات مهارات الفهم القرائي لدى الطلبة الصم وضعاف السمع في المرحلة الثانوية، مع الكشف عن تأثير العوامل الديموغرافية على المستوى القرائي لديهم، بالاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي المسحي، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم تطوير مقياس كأداة للدراسة، يشمل الأسئلة الصريحة text explicit- TE، والأسئلة الضمنية text implicit- TI، والأسئلة الضمنية غير المباشرة script implicit- Sa، مكون من جزأين هما: البيانات المتمثلة في متغيرات الدراسة، ونص الفهم القرائي يليه مجموعة من الأسئلة التي تضم مهارات الفهم القرائي بأبعاده؛ الفهم الحرفي، والاستنتاجي، والنقدي، والإبداعي، والتذوقي. وقد شملت الدراسة جميع أفراد الدراسة البالغ عددهم (127) طالب وطالبة في المرحلة الثانوية. وتوصلت النتائج إلى ضعف الفهم القرائي للطلبة الصم وضعاف السمع، وحصولهم على أعلى درجة في مستوى الفهم الحرفي، ثم المستوى الاستنتاجي، ثم المستوى الإبداعي، يليه المستوى التذوقي وأخيرًا الناقد بأدنى مستوى من الدرجات ضمن مستويات الفهم القرائي. بالإضافة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لصعوبات الفهم القرائي أكثرها لمتغير الجنس، دونًا عن درجة الفقدان السمعي، والمعين السمعي المستخدم. وكذلك وجود فروق ذا دلالة إحصائية في درجات الطلبة حسب نوع الأسئلة الضمنية لصالح الأسئلة الضمنية (TI)، ثم الأسئلة الضمنية الغير مباشرة (SA)، وأخيرًا الأسئلة الصريحة (TE). The study aims to examine the level and challenges of reading comprehension skills among deaf and hard-of-hearing high school students, while exploring the impact of demographic factors on their reading comprehension levels. The research adopts a descriptive survey methodology. To achieve the study's objectives, a scale was developed as a research tool, incorporating text explicit (TE) questions, text implicit (TI) questions, and script implicit (SA) questions. The scale consists of two parts: data representing the study variables and a reading comprehension text followed by a set of questions that assess reading comprehension skills in its dimensions, including literal, inferential, critical, creative, and aesthetic comprehension. The study involved all 127 high school students within the target population. The results revealed that the reading comprehension of deaf and hard-of-hearing students was generally weak. They achieved the highest scores, albeit weak, in literal comprehension, followed by inferential, creative, aesthetic, and finally critical comprehension, which had the lowest scores. Furthermore, statistically significant differences in reading comprehension difficulties were found, primarily based on gender, rather than the degree of hearing loss or the type of hearing aid used. Additionally, statistically significant differences were observed in students' scores based on the type of implicit questions, favoring text implicit (TI) questions, followed by script implicit (SA) questions, and finally text explicit (TE) questions.
