تناولت الدراسة تعقبات الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني على ابن حزم الظاهري في كتاب فتح الباري شرح صحيح البخاري المتوفى ٨٥٢ه. جمعا ودراسة،وقد حوت الدراسة مقدمة وتمهيد وبابين وخاتمة وفهارس بداية من كتاب الأيمان في الفتح إلى آخره كتاب التوحيد ،حيث وضحت الدراسة فيما خالف فيه ابن حزم أقوال بعض أهل العلم بالدليل وقوة مااستند إليه الحفاظ في التعقب ،وقد اكتفت الدراسة بما تعقب به الحافظ على ابن حزم في الفتح دون غيره ،وتتبعت الدراسة أقوال ابن حزم في جل مؤلفاته للوقوف على ماخالف به غيره،ثم ذكرت الدراسة من وافق ابن حزم ومن خالفه بالدليل ثم الترجيح بقوة الدليل .
The study dealt with the comments of Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani on Ibn Hazm Al-Zahiri in the book Fath Al-Bari, an explanation of Sahih Al-Bukhari, who died in 852 AH. Collection and study. The study included an introduction, a preface, two chapters, a conclusion, and indexes, starting from the Book of Oaths in Al-Fath to the end of the Book of Monotheism. The study clarified what Ibn Hazm disagreed with the statements of some scholars with evidence and the strength of what the scholars relied on in the commentary. The study was satisfied with what Al-Hafiz commented on Ibn Hazm in Al-Fath without others. The study followed the statements of Ibn Hazm in most of his works to determine what he disagreed with others with. Then the study mentioned who agreed with Ibn Hazm and who disagreed with him with evidence, then the preference with the strength of the evidence.
