It is generally accepted that the knowledge, attitudes and practices
of family planning are influenced by various demographic characteris-
tics of the population concerned which will have their impact on their
fertility patterns. — Within the same country, differences among. the
socio-economic groups do exist. So, there is always a need for specific
information about some sectors of the population to reveal such
patterns. 
So, essentially this: work was based on a study of all teachers
Working in Alexandria Governorate. It was designed first to reveal
their knowledge, attitudes and their practices. Secondly to see the
degree of their awareness of the existing family planning services in
their district and. find-out. their pattern of usage. Thirdly its concern
was to find out the extent of the. teacher's participation in family
planning education for the community,
