تتناول هذه الدراسة تنكةً ذهبيةً فريدةً، تحمل اسم الأمير تيمور لنك (771-807هـ/ 1369-1404م)، كانت ضمن مقتنيات مجموعة السيد أوليڤر هور Oliver Hoare ببريطانيا، ولما توفي أوليڤر سنة 2018م، عُرضت هذه التنكة للبيع بمزاد Numismatica Genevensis SA بمدينة جنيف، بسويسرا سنة 2019م، وعلى الرغم من أن التنكة لا تحمل نقشًا يشير إلى دار أو تاريخ الضرب، إلا أن الدراسة رجحت أنها من ضروب سلطنة دهلي، أثناء الغزو التيموري لها سنة 801هـ/ 1398م، وقد استندت الدراسة في نسبة هذه التنكة للطراز الدهلوي على أسباب تتعلق بمضمون كتاباتها، وشكلها العام، ووزنها، ونوع الخط، إلى غير ذلك من أسباب، سنوضحها في هذه الدراسة.
اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي المقارن؛ حيث تناولت التنكة من حيث شكلها العام ومضمون الكتابات المسجلة عليها، ثم تحليل هذه الكتابات في سياق الأحداث التاريخية المعاصرة لها، ثم مقارنتها مع نماذج نقدية أخرى، ضُربت في الهند خلال فترة الغزو التيموري لها، بالإضافة إلى عملات مشابهة ضُربت في بلاد ما وراء النهر باسم تيمور لنك؛ وذلك من أجل الوقوف على مكان وتاريخ ضربها، وفهم الأحداث التاريخية التي أدت إلى إصدارها.
This study investigates a unique golden tanka (pot) in the name of Tamerlane (771-807 AH/1369-1404 AD), which was preserved in the private collection of Oliver Hoare, Britain. After the death of Oliver Hoare in 2018 AD, this tanka was offered for sale at the Numismatica Genevensis SA Auction in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2019 AD. Although this tanka does not bear a mint or a date, the study suggested that it was minted in Dehli during the Timurid invasion in (801AH/1398AD). The study attributes it to the type of Dehli coinage for reasons related to the content of inscriptions, its general form, its weight, the script, and other reasons highlighted.
   The study adopted the comparative descriptive analytical method. It studied the tanka in terms of its general form and the content of its inscriptions. Then, it analyzed them in light of contemporary historical events. Subsequently, a comparative study was applied in studying this tanka, as it was compared with the monetary types that were minted in India during the Timurid invasion period on the one hand and with the ones minted in Transoxiana in the name of Tamerlane on the other hand, to determine the mint and the date of minting and highlight the reasons and historical events of minting.
