This research mainly aimed to determine extension needs of farmers in the field of agricultural pest control in Damietta Governorate. Two districts were randomly selected using the basket method from the governorate districts, resulting in Kafr Saad and Zarqa districts. In the same way, a village was selected from each of the selected districts, resulting in Zahraa village in Kafr Saad districts, and Jalal village in Zarqa district. The number of agricultural holders in the research villages was limited and 10% of them were taken to determine the sample size, which amounted to 192 respondents, distributed over the two research villages, with 71 respondents in Zahraa village and 121 in Jalal village. Frequencies, percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, general mean, t-test, simple and multiple correlation coefficient, partial regression coefficient, and stepwise regression coefficient were used as tools for statistical analysis, and The most important results of the research were as follows: That 36.5% of the surveyed have medium and high extension needs in the field of agricultural pest control, and That the majority of the surveyed 77.6% have a medium level of awareness of the harms of excessive use of chemical pesticides, and That the majority of the surveyed 79.2% have low sources of information in the field of agricultural pest control, and There were significant differences between the averages of the extension needs scores of the surveyed in the field of agricultural pest control in the villages of Al-Zahraa and Jalal, and There is a significant inverse correlation at the probability level of 0.01 between the extension needs of the surveyed in the field of agricultural pest control and each of: farm holding, satisfaction with agricultural work, and awareness of the harms of excessive use of chemical pesticides, and There is an inverse and significant correlation at the probability level of 0.05 between the degree of extension needs of the surveyed in the field of agricultural pest control and each of: the age of the surveyed, the number of years of experience in farm work, and ownership of chemicals spraying machines.
