هذه دراسة تهدف لبيان منهج أبي طالب الضرير البصري الحنبلي في اختياراته الفقهية التي خالف فيها مذهب الحنابلة وقد بذل العلماء الربانيون، والأئمة المهديون جهوداً كبيرة، ومساعي حميدة، في خدمة العلم وتيسيره ونشره بين الناس، تعليماً، ووعظاً، ودعوة، وتأليفاً، فكان من ثمرات تلك الجهود كنوز عظيمة من المؤلفات والتحقيقات النافعة المباركة، يضيق المقام عن ذكرها، فضلاً عن وصفها والحديث عنها. ولفقهاء الحنابلة يد طولى في هذا الباب، يشهد لها التاريخ الإسلامي على امتداد قرونه، بدءاً من إمام المذهب الإمام الجليل أحمد بن حنبل -رحمه الله- وانتهاءً إلى العصور المتأخرة، بل إلى عصرنا الحاضر. ومن هؤلاء الفقهاء الأفذاذ عالم بصري، بزغ نجمه في القرن السابع الهجري، وهو عبد الرحمن بن عمر ابن أبي القاسم بن علي بن عثمان البصري، المعروف بالضرير، والملقب بنور الدين، والمكنى بأبي طالب (624-684هـ). This study aims to clarify the approach of Abu Talib Al-Dhirir Al-Basri Al-Hanbali in his jurisprudential choices in which he differed from the Hanbali school of thought. The divine scholars and the guided imams have made great efforts and laudable endeavors in serving knowledge, facilitating it and spreading it among people, through education, preaching, calling to it, and writing. The fruits of those efforts were great treasures of beneficial and blessed writings and investigations, which are too small to mention, let alone describe and talk about. The Hanbali jurists have a long hand in this matter, as witnessed by Islamic history throughout its centuries, starting with the imam of the school of thought, the great imam Ahmad bin Hanbal - may God have mercy on him - and ending with the later ages, and even to our present age. Among these unique jurists is a Basran scholar who rose to prominence in the seventh century AH, namely Abd al-Rahman ibn Umar ibn Abi al-Qasim ibn Ali ibn Uthman al-Basri, known as al-Dharir, nicknamed Nur al-Din, and known as Abu Talib (624-684 AH).
