الملخص هدفت الدراسة التعرف على فاعلية الارشاد الاجتماعي في الحد من مشكلات النزلاء في مراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل- دراسة من وجهة نظر الاخصائيين الاجتماعيين في المؤسسات الارشادية في جنوب الضفة الغربية والكشف عن الفروق الإحصائية في درجة إجابات العينة نحو المتغيرات الآتية: (الجنس، العمر، الحالة الاجتماعية، المستوى الأكاديمي، الخبرة) واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، واستعانت الدراسة بأداة الاستبانة وتم تطبيقها على عينة  قصدية بلغت (50) مفردة من الأخصائيين الأجتماعيين في جنوب الضفة الغربية. وخلصت الدراسة إلى النتائج الآتية: يوجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند المستوى(α≤ 0.05) فاعلية الارشاد الاجتماعي في الحد من مشكلات النزلاء في مراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل تعزى لمتغير الجنس لصالح الذكور بمتوسط حسابي (4.12). ولا يوجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند المستوى(α≤ 0.05)  لمستوى فاعلية الارشاد الاجتماعي في الحد من مشكلات النزلاء في مراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل تعزى لمتغير العمر، والحالة الاجتماعية والمستوى الاكاديمي والخبرة.   Abstract This study aims at identifying the effectiveness of social counseling in reducing the problems of inmates in rehabilitation and correctional centers from the perspective of social workers in counseling institutions in the southern West Bank. It also sought to reveal the statistical differences in the responses of the sample due to the following variables: gender, age, marital status, academic level, and specialization. To achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher utilized the descriptive-analytical approach and employed a questionnaire with a purposive sample of 50 social workers in the southern West Bank. The results of the study revealed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) in the effectiveness of social counseling in reducing the problems of inmates in rehabilitation and correctional centers, attributed to the gender variable in favor of males, with a mean score of (4.12). The results also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) in the effectiveness of social counseling in reducing the problems of inmates in rehabilitation and correctional centers attributed to the variables of age, marital status, academic level, and experience. Some recommendations and suggestions for further research were presented. Key words: Social counseling, inmates and rehabilitation and correctional centers
