This research was conducted on a regular random sample of onion farmers in villages of Maniyya and Al Uyun of the Itay al-Baroud district in Beheira Governorate. It consisted of 108 farmers. representing 25% of the overall total number of 433 farmers. Data were collected through a personal interview questionnaire. and percentages. arithmetic mean. frequencies. standard deviation. and simple correlation coefficient were used to analyze the results. The research reached several results. most notably the following:

With regard to the knowledge level of the onion farmers respondents in growing and producing onions. the percentage of those with a low knowledge level was 17.6%. the average level was 58.3%. and the high level was 24.1%.
As for the onion farmers respondents' level of adoption of good agricultural practices. the percentage of those with high adoption was 25%. the average was 42.6%. and the low was 32.4%.
The research showed that there is an inverse correlation between the adoption of good agricultural practices in the onion crop as a dependent variable and each of the following variables: agricultural land tenure. the area cultivated with onions. and the knowledge level of the onion farmers respondents in the cultivation of onion production.
