فإن نظرية السياق تُعدّ محورًا رئيسًا من محاور علم الدلالة، وهي من أهم ثمرات الدرس اللساني؛ حيث جعلت منه نظرية ومنهجًا متكاملًا في دراسة المعنى. وقد يغلب على الظن أن هذه النظرية لا أثر لها عند علمائنا القدامى، وأنها غربية المنشأ، وهذا ادعاء لا أساس له من الصحة؛ فمن يطالع كتب التراث سيجد إسهامات -لا يستهان بها- في التنبُّه إلى الدور الخطير الذي يُمَثِّله السياق في توجيه المعنى؛ فقد لجأ إليه علماء العربية في معالجة كثير من قضايا اللغة، وركّزوا جُلَّ اهتمامهم عليه، وعَدُّوه عاملًا أساسًا في فهم دلالة الألفاظ والتراكيب. وانطلاقًا من هذا وقع اختياري على شخصية العالم الجليل "ابن القيم" من خلال كتابه (بدائع الفوائد)؛ لإثبات قدم السبق لعلماء العربية في هذه القضية، واقتضى هذا وسم موضوع البحث بـ (أثر السيــــاق في توجيـــه المعنى -دراسة في"بدائع الفوائد" لاِبْنِ قَيِّمِ الْجَوْزِيَّةِ). وسوف أثبت -بالأدلة- كيف وظَّف ابنُ القيم السياقَ في تحديد الدلالة اللغوية للتراكيب من خلال هذا الكتاب الماتع، الجامع لعظيم الفوائد، الحاوي ثروة لغوية فريدة.
ولا يسعني في الأخير إلا أن أحمد الله –تعالى- على توفيقه لإتمام هذا العمل، وأساله أن ينفع به، والحمد لله رب العالمين.

Context theory is considered a major axis of semantics, and it is one of the most important fruits of the linguistic study. It made it an integrated theory and method in the study of meaning. It may be thought that this theory has no effect on our ancient scholars, and that it is of Western origin, and this is an unfounded claim. Whoever reads heritage books will find significant contributions to paying attention to the roleThe danger that context represents in directing meaning; Arabic scholars have resorted to it in dealing with many language issues, focusing most of their attention on it, and considering it a fundamental factor in understanding the meaning of words and structures. Based on this, I chose the personality of the eminent scholar “Ibn al-Qayyim" through his book (Bada'i' al-Fawa'id); To prove the precedence of Arabic scholars in this issue, this required a tag The research topic is (the effect of context in directing meaning - a study in “Bada'i' al-Fawa'id" by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah). I will prove - with evidence - how Ibn al-Qayyim used context in determining the linguistic significance of constructions through this enjoyable book, which brings together great benefits and contains a unique linguistic wealth.
