هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على معدل إستخدام الشباب السعودي لشبكات التواصل الإجتماعي ، ودوافع استخدامهم لها ، والكشف عن التداعيات الإيجابية والسلبية المصاحبة لاستخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي بين الشباب السعودى ، بالإضافة إلى وضع رؤية مقترحة للحد من التداعيات السلبية المصاحبة لاستخدام شبكات التواصل الإجتماعي بين الشباب السعودي. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي بالإضافة إلى استمارة الاستبيان على عينة عشوائية مكونة من (278) طالب من ثلاث مدارس حكومية بمحافظة عفيف.وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أهمها: أن أهم التداعيات الإجتماعية السلبية لاستخدام شبكات التواصل الإجتماعي على الطلاب هي تراجع الإهتمام بالدراسة ، وقلة التواصل والتفاعل مع أفراد الأسرة.
The study aimed to identify the rate of Saudi youth's use of social networking, the motivations for their use, and to reveal the positive and negative repercussions associated with the use of social networking among Saudi youth, in addition to developing a proposed vision to reduce the negative repercussions associated with the use of social networking among Saudi youth. The study relied on the descriptive analytical method in addition to a questionnaire form on a random sample consisting of (278) students from three government schools in Afif Governorate. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: that the most important negative social repercussions of the use of social networking on students is a decline in interest in studying, and a lack of Communicate and interact with family members.
