هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على خصائص ومواصفات المشروعات القومية الكبرى في مجال الإسكان في مصر ، والكشف عن أبعاد التنمية المستدامة (الاقتصادية - الاجتماعية - البيئية) المتحققة من خلال المشروعات القومية الكبرى في مجال الإسكان ، وتحديد العوامل التي تساهم في تحقيق خطة التنمية المستدامة من خلال المشروعات القومية الكبرى ، والوقوف على الفرص والتحديات التي تواجه المستفيدين من مشروعات الإسكان في مدينة المنصورة الجديدة ، وتقديم بعض المقترحات لتعزيز دور المشروعات القومية الكبرى في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة في مصر. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي, وأداة الاستبيان تم تطبيقها على عينة قوامها 315 مفردة من الأسر المستفيدة من المشروعات السكانية .
